New Giving Information

Dear partners in Christ,

As promised, we’re writing to let you know of a change in terms of where to send your contributions.  This reflects the formalization of our partnership with the Christian Medical & Dental Associations (CMDA), the leading national medical ministry.  They have the resources to support our ministry well, and we are very excited to be their representatives in the Philadelphia area!

Effective immediately, then, please send your gifts to:

ATTN: Rebecca Arnold

PO Box 7500

Bristol, TN 37621

Just mention “Bryan Stoudt” in the memo line.   You will receive a receipt for each gift and, as always, your contributions are tax-deductible.

We’re also very excited to offer you two online giving options – credit card or electronic check payments.  Both these options will allow you to contribute automatically at the amount and frequency of your choosing.  Here’s how:

1 – Follow this link – online giving

2 – Under “Categories & Funds” please select “Other”; a space for you to specify where the contribution should be directed will appear immediately below

3 – Please fill in “Bryan Stoudt” in this space

4 – Fill in the amount you wish to give in the box to the right of “Other”

5 – If you would like to give on a recurring basis (i.e., monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually), check the box adjacent to “Make this a recurring transaction?”.  Then, check the box that represents how often you would like to give.

You can also specify how long you’d like to give by clicking the drop-down menu next to “Run For:”.  If you’d like to give indefinitely, please be sure to indicate that.  Otherwise, your gift will effectively be a one-time contribution.

6 – Under payment method, select either “credit card” or “electronic check” and fill out the requested information.

7 – Click “next” at the bottom, review your information, and click “submit” when you’re done.  That’s it!  If you choose to give on an ongoing basis, you will never need to fill out the form again.

* Note: your financial institution may require you to enter a code for my personal support account with CMDA.  If that’s the case, my account is “Center 42487”.

Thanks so much for your ongoing partnership.  We are so thankful for you, and pleased to partner with you to reach Philadelphia’s healthcare community for Christ!

Praying For God’s Provision

Dear partners in kingdom ministry,

After updating our giving records, we’re writing to ask you to join us in an important prayer need.

As you know, we’re going through challenging economic times. Many of you have shared with us that you have been personally affected.

It won’t surprise you, then, to hear that our own financial situation has been adversely affected, too. As of the end of this month, we are behind about two full months’ pay. In other words, we have not been able to take any salary for this fiscal year.

We are aware that “the world and its fullness are the Lord’s” (Psalm 50:12), and that He is fully capable of meeting our needs. However, this is a significant cause for concern, and we are prayerfully considering what changes we may need to make in the short-term until this need is met. We are truly trusting in His goodness and ask you to join us wholeheartedly in praying for His provision.

On a final note, would you please review your giving to our ministry? If you’re behind and able to make a “catch-up” contribution, we would greatly appreciate that. (Giving information can be found to the left of this posting).

But mainly, we ask that you join us in a season of more concentrated prayer, taking this need directly to the Lord.

I look forward to updating you on the Intermed retreat tomorrow. Please continue to pray for that event, which begins tomorrow at 4pm. If you’re in the healthcare field, please consider joining us for it (for details, see our previous update)!

In Christ,
Bryan & Sharon

Transition Date & More

Dear friends,

Transition Date

In our last update we mentioned we’d make our actual transition date known as it became available. We now know that it’s going to be July 1st – just two weeks away – so we’re excited as the time draws near.

Giving Information

As we’ve spoken with many of you, some have asked us to clarify where to send future contributions. As of July 1st, please send contributions, made payable to “Pilgrim Church”, to:

Pilgrim Church
PO Box 35184
Philadelphia, PA 19128

Also, several of you have indicated the desire to give electronically. While we cannot offer that on our end, it is usually possible to setup automatic giving through your financial institution. While you can find specific information for that process by looking at your institution’s website, or by calling them, the general steps typically are as follows:

* go online to your financial institution’s website, access your account, and then the “online bill-pay” or equivalent section of the site

* setup a “recurring” or equivalent bill, payable to my new employer

That’s usually it! If this interests you, let me know so I can provide my employer’s official name and account number, both of which are required for this service.

The Future of MCO

For those of you who would like to know more about MCO, it is currently entering a re-building stage. Although without full-time staff it will be scaled back in nature, it will continue to support Christian healthcare students at Philadelphia’s medical campuses, and seek to gain momentum among the city’s healthcare community beginning at its sponsoring church, Tenth Presbyterian. Initial interest has been very positive and we are hopeful that God will continue to bless its ministry as it moves ahead.

For Prayer

These last two weeks promise to be fairly intense ones as we handle the many details necessary to transition the ministry well before our departure. Please pray that the Lord helps us to work hard, maintain a strong sense of priority, and trust Him during this time.

We’ll be in touch!

PS As always, feel free to get in touch with any questions you may have about our transition by calling us at 856.524.2126, or emailing us at
