Did you know that up to 80% of men in the church are involved in pornography of one form or another? Although I haven’t done a formal poll, I’m guessing that the statistics may not be all that different for men in healthcare training or practice. After all, because the stress is so high, you’re especially vulnerable.
I wanted to pass along this blog post by Tony Anderson because it’s honest, offers a fresh perspective on what sexual sin involves, and provides the hope of Scripture when it may feel like there’s no hope.
Although personalizing it and living it out will require a lot more customization than the article can cover, it’s a good start. After you read the article, I want to challenge you to go one step further by asking two questions:
First, are you actively fighting in this area of your life? Not just with the internet, but also in your thought life?
Second, how can your life in Christ specifically help you in your fight? Talking with a trusted friend or two can be a great help here.
Even if you don’t feel like you’re not doing well in this area, don’t give up. Keep on fighting in community. It’s worth it.
